Principal Nate Warmouth

Dear Eagle Families-

My name is Nate Warmouth and it is a privilege to serve your student(s) as the principal of WJH.  I come to WJH with 17 years of experience in public schools. Originally from Michigan, I graduated from Albion College with a Bachelor’s in Social Studies and Physical Education, with an emphasis in Education.  I also earned my Master’s through the University of Phoenix in Educational Leadership.

I came to Clay County in 2006 and taught and coached at Middleburg High School.  After teaching at Middleburg, I transitioned into administration at Oakleaf High School.  I was fortunate to be a part of an “A” school each year while I was there.  From there, I transitioned over to Lakeside Junior High.  During my tenure there, I helped lead the work on the now countywide Cambridge programs at the elementary and junior high schools, as well as had a strong leadership role in moving Lakeside’s school grade from a 60 to a 74 over my four years.  Most recently I moved back to the high school ranks to join the Fleming Island High School team.

I reside in Clay County with my wife and son, who attends Fleming Island Elementary.  I am dedicated to serving all students, faculty, staff, and other community stakeholders.  My goals include providing a safe and positive educational experience for all students, prepare them to be lifelong learners, and ensure they have the skillsets for the 21st century.  I am excited and looking forward to working with the Wilkinson Junior High community and helping to elevate the students' success. Go Eagles!

Sincerely,

Nate Warmouth

Hello Parents and Community Members,

Welcome to Wilkinson Junior High School.  I am very excited to work alongside a fantastic staff that is dedicated to student achievement here at Wilkinson Junior.  My goal is to help each student get the most out of their education while here and realize the potential they have to make their futures and goals a success.

I have been a Clay County Schools educator for 16 years.  I began my career teaching science to 7th and 8th grade students as well as the head coach for Green Cove Jr and Lake Asbury Jr baseball teams.  My journey into administration began at Wilkinson Jr 8 years ago when I was hired as an assistant principal.  I was here for 2 years and then joined the team at Fleming Island High School.  After 4 years at FIHS I was given the opportunity to return to WJH and jumped on it, as we say around here “once an Eagle, always an Eagle!”

We are busy on campus this summer getting ready to give your child a memorable experience.  I encourage every student to get involved in an on campus activity.  We have plenty to offer here so take advantage!  I look forward to becoming a partner in your child's education and getting to know each student.

Welcome to Wilkinson Junior High School. I am extremely excited and grateful to be your new Assistant Principal.
